Elementary
Northwest Christian School has been providing Christian education for elementary children since 1980. The faculty and staff are dedicated to providing a quality Bible based educational program. We are committed to providing a quality education as we strive to help the students develop a biblical worldview.
We love watching children learn. Reading and math are the tracks on which the educational train runs. Bible is the headlight lighting the way. Our goal is to integrate Bible into every subject. All of the language arts are woven together and taught in an integrated manner. Science and social studies are taught from a Christian perspective.
Elementary:
Elementary Academics
A traditional curriculum is offered to students in kindergarten through the 5th grade. Featured in this area is a strong base in phonics, mathematics, writing, history, English and science. Bible study is also a daily activity that begins to build a strong foundation in the Word. Students receive moral and spiritual training through Bible memorization, character development programs, and chapel each week. In addition, classes are offered on a regular basis in art, computers, music, and physical education. Fifth graders may participate in beginning band.
Both half-day and full-day kindergarten programs are offered. The kindergarten focus is on language arts, math readiness, and Bible. The full-day class will have time for more enrichment activities during the day as well as having PE and music.
